I am pleased to share that InDemand was recently ranked number 49 on the GeekWire 200 list. GeekWire is one of the top tech news sites in the country, breaking news and delivering unique insights about the people and companies reshaping the future of software, apps, cloud services and devices. GeekWire reporters explore and explain the issues changing the way people work and live in the Seattle region and around the world.
The GeekWire 200 is a list derived from more than 1,200 early stage Pacific Northwest tech companies. Although we are well beyond a “start-up” based on our sales and a team that is now 400+ strong, this is great recognition for the work that we do to ensure that every individual has access to high quality patient care regardless of language, cultural background or disability.
According to Daniel Rossi, GeekWire’s Chief Business Officer, it’s very difficult to crack the top 50 of this list, so this is definitely recognition to celebrate.
Since the company was founded in 2007, InDemand has supported healthcare organizations to improve patient care by strengthening communication between providers and their limited English proficient (LEP), Deaf and hard of hearing (HOH) patients. It’s incredible to see this commitment take the company from a small start-up in Wenatchee, Washington to one of the leading VRI organizations in the country and listed among the top 50 on the GeekWire 200 List. Today InDemand services are used in nearly 1,500 healthcare settings nationwide and have assisted in over two million healthcare interpreter encounters.
